On 03.04.2023, one of our clients, Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank (KICB), went live with Google Pay wallet for their Visa card portfolio. With Google Pay integration, KICB customers now have the option to digitize their Visa cards and make payments in Kyrgyzstan and abroad using their smartphones. Integration with Google Pay is a convenient way to enable the digitization of cards without investing a lot into developing a custom Issuer Wallet. Google Pay integration requires only a certified I-TSP interface for integrating with the card issuing system (CMS), to check the cardholder data and card usage restrictions (if any).
The project was completed by D8 Corporation, using the standard I-TSP module of our Tokenization Platform. The I-TSP module is certified by Visa for connecting with the VTS service. Since Google Pay launched their service in Kyrgyzstan in Q4 2022, it has become a preferred way of making in-store contactless payments for many customers.
