The Challenge
In 2021, our client in Ukraine was migrating core acquiring infrastructure away from UkrKart as their main processor in-house and was looking for a reliable partner to undertake this project. Our client chose D8 Corporation for their project for two reasons.
The first one is the level of different customizations of the system we were willing to provide. Typical vendors are quite reluctant when it comes to customizations. However, our client needed to be able to customize the system to fit their current infrastructure as much as possible without changes.
The second one is additional services. Our Managed Services department was involved and we were able to offer not only the software solution but also full support and maintenance of the underlying infrastructure. Most vendors, when migrating core acquiring infrastructure, experience challenges with offering managed services, particularly in developing markets.
Solution We Offered
We offered our Payment Acquiring Platform, which would require customization of interfaces to the format used internally by our client.
Our client was moving away from the service provider, taking portfolio of merchants in-house, so our first goal was to migrate the complex acquiring profiles from a service provider to our system and conduct detailed testing of all configurations, especially real-time application of limits and risk checks. We migrated more than 30 authorization profiles from our client’s service provider. Thanks to our scalable and web services-oriented architecture, portfolio migration was completed mostly with automated tools and scripts.
